Public consultation on the Viking Link interconnector project in Great Britain closes on 20 May.

Public consultations for the Viking Link interconnector project commenced on the 11 April and have been ongoing. Public exhibitions were held at six different venues in the month of April.

NGVL are seeking views from local communities, organisations, local councils, land owners and interested parties on the identified potential landfall sites where the cables could come ashore and possible locations for a converter station.

Converter station areas:

Swineshead

Bicker Fen

Donington

Landfall areas:

Anderby

Huttoft

Sandilands

Respondents are encouraged to provide their views by the close of the consultation period on Friday 20 May. Following feedback from the public consultation, NGVL will confirm a preferred converter station location and landfall point for the cables.

The project team will then look at potential cable route corridor options between the preferred landfall and converter sites and will carry out a further public consultation on cable route corridor options during the summer.
