When do the Viking Link auctions start?
Auctions will include Yearly, Quarterly Monthly, Daily, and Intraday explicit auctions. Initially Viking Link will offer Daily and Intraday auctions. As per the current Remit notice, Viking Link plans to start flowing power on the 29th December 2023 with the first Day Ahead auction taking place on the 28th December 2023.
Long term auctions will be introduced at a later date. 

What will be the loss factor for Viking Link?

The loss factor is 3.7%. For Viking Link the Operational Reference Point is set to the sending end of the Interconnector, therefore customers should adjust for the loss factor at the receiving end with respect to their nomination.
