This video, ‘A Thread Through Time’, is a compilation of the footage filmed during the excavation of one of the amazing sites found on the National Grid Viking Link onshore wind farm cable route, and our animated, fictionalised reconstruction of an early medieval story from the site. The video is part of the ‘bigger picture’, namely the fieldwork, post-excavation and analysis, reporting, publication, outreach, engagement and archive of the Viking Link project. Teams from National Grid Viking Link and Wessex Archaeology have worked together on this material in the hope that it inspires you to look for more information on the project, and archaeology in general.
